Wasel Krane’s New 450 tonner in Action
With the LTM 1450-8.1, WASEL has a powerful mobile crane designed for economical mobility and quick and easy set-up on the jobsite. The crane drives on public roads with a 12-tonne axle load with the 85-meter telescopic boom, all outriggers and a complete hoist winch. As a result, he is on the job site especially quickly measured by its performance class.
“The new LIEBHERR is also equipped with the sophisticated VarioBallast ballast concept , which is a great advantage in cramped conditions,” explains Julian Schmidt, Technical Manager at WASEL in Bergheim. This system allows smaller ballast radii in cramped conditions and large ballast radii, where maximum load capacity is required. The ballast radius can be steplessly reduced from 7 m to 5 m on the crane’s upper carriage with a simple hydraulic swivel mechanism. “At the same time, for example, a radius of 5m corresponds to the value of mobile cranes in the 200-ton class,” says Schmidt.
Technical data of the boom system:
boom 85 m
Rocker arm 14-84 m Fixed tip 7-56 m
