Wagenborg’s MV Arneborg arrives US East Coast with Forest Product Cargo
Earlier this week MV Arneborg arrived on the US East coast with timber, wood pulp, and paper loaded in various Baltic ports destined for the American market.
The vessel is one of the geared vessels in the Wagenborg fleet capable of loading 15,750t of cargo. This voyage to the US can be considered as a good example of the excellent performance of the various geared vessels on the Trans-Atlantic paper trade.
Wagenborg has known the forest industry since 1898 and has grown together with many of the major forest companies. They realise the forest industry is highly competitive and an optimal supply chain is therefore crucial, including sea transport. It is all about zero-damage, reliability and flexibility. Preventing damage to cargo during loading, sea voyage and discharging, has Wagenborg’s highest priority.
Their LOLO shipping concept ‘Lifts On’ and ‘Lifts Off’ forest products safely and efficiently. Thanks to their custom-made equipment, they can handle high-quality cargo with care. Along with box-shaped holds, tween decks and ship cranes, these ice-class vessels can go practically anywhere, anytime.
With real-time data Wagenborg can optimize sailing routes, minimize CO2 output, and avoid bad weather. This reduces the risk of damage and makes timing even more reliable.
The combination of a versatile, modern and environmentally friendly fleet and smart shipping with a strong focus on cost-efficiency enables their customers to optimize their crucial logistical needs for their premium forest products in a safe and sustainable way for the years to come.
