Wagenborg has released the exciting news of their recently completed masterful transport of three colossal lock gates for the new lock complex in Brunsbüttel, Germany!
Each gate weighs over 2,500 tons and measures an impressive 47m long, 9m wide, and 21m high!
With the help of 136 axle lines of SPMT, Wagenborg’s dedicated team safely manoeuvred these giants out of the manufacturing hall and into storage near the waterfront. Project Manager Wouter Siemerink expressed the thrill of turning challenging plans into reality!
Phase Two of this project will be in the summer this year when Wagenborg prepare to transport these impressive lock gates by pontoon.
