Wagenborg RoRo Service to include Sundsvall

On the Wagenborg RORO liner service, Wagenborg Shipping has been able to secure a cargo of wind turbine components between the ports of Terneuzen to Sundsvall.

The project is a join venture between Wagenborg Sweden, Bolk Transport BV and GE Wind for the shipment of nacelles, hubs and drive trains for 33 wind turbines that will be built in the Ramsele area and stretches over 17 voyages. The first shipment will be in week 26 and continues over the summer to Mid-October. In addition to this cargo, Wagenborg will also ship several cranes and other heavy units used to install these wind turbines.

Normally, the Wagenborg RORO liner service calls the ports of Haraholmen (Piteå), Bremen, Sheerness, Terneuzen, Cuxhaven and Södertälje. As of week 27 Wagenborg is expanding their liner service going northbound and will call the port of Sundsvall on a weekly basis until late autumn. Hence, Wagenborg further developed the possibility to carry cargo from the continent to Sweden.
