Wagenborg Nedlift’s Emission Free XCMG XCA60_EV

The sustainability strategy of Wagenborg Nedlift contains concrete objectives. Reducing CO2 emissions is one of the most important goals. They do this from an intrinsic motivation to keep our planet liveable for future generations.

And of course they have to deal with laws and regulations at locations where they operate. A challenge for which they came up with an innovative solution together with XCMG.

Namely the world’s first 60t hybrid mobile telescopic crane.

The XCMG XCA60_EV makes 100% electric hoist possible. Completely emission-free and up to 8 hours long!

Brian Geerdink, Crane Operator Wagenborg Nedlift comments, “When you work with this crane, it is quiet. I have also received many compliments from the construction workers about the low-noise operation.”

With Design and engineering from Europe, and construction in China its key points include:

  • Emission-free lifting
    • Zero Emission during lifting. Without compromising on speed and efficiency. No emission of harmful substances and therefore better for the environment. The bottom line is that the XCMG XCA60_EV delivers a lower ecological footprint.
  • Inventive is the integrated battery in the crane’s ballast.
    • The XCMG XCA60_EV runs 6-8 hours electrically. A considerable saving on, for example, an extra battery car and that results in lower operational costs.

  • Easy charging with 8 or 16A (charging up to 380V: 8A-63A)
    • Charging up to 380V: 8A – 63A.
    • Charging can be easily done with 8 or 16A on site, 32A or 63A is not required.
    • Optimal flexibility: the XCMG XCA60_EV automatically switches back to 8A.
  • Health and Safety
    • The XCMG XCA60_EV is low in noise and vibration when running electrically, which means a safer and healthier working environment for the operator and bystanders.
  • Regenerative charging
    • This hybrid crane charges the batteries while driving and braking. So the crane always arrives at the work location with charged batteries. The power consumption of the outward journey does not need to be supplemented. The operator can get started right away!

Jan-Ebe Boerema, Regional Manager North Wagenborg Nedlift, sums up, “Thanks to this collaboration with XCMG, we now have a top-class crane that meets all laws and regulations and our own requirements.”“Thanks to this collaboration with XCMG, we now have a top-class crane that meets all laws and regulations and our own requirements.”
