Breman Machinery BV in Genemuiden has often called on Wagenborg Nedlift for various unique projects over many years. This time they were called to carry out weighing, lifting and transporting an installation tool for over water and road. Two 500t mobile cranes deployed for the lifting operation.
The Installation tool will be used to install the Boat Landing framework and an Airtight Platform in a safe and correct manner in the offshore wind industry for a total of 140 monopiles which will be installed in 2021 and 2022.
Finally, Wagenborg sailed the tool via the inland waterway canals and rivers to the quay on the Maasvlakte 2. Due to the impressive height of the tool (no less than 19.5m), the choice was made for the so-called ‘standing mast route’, right through Amsterdam.
