Wagenborg Delivering Full Logistic Scope for Cable Laying Barge Mobilization

Based on a long term contract with NKT, Wagenborg has started the mobilization project of a cable laying barge. An additional barge will also be equipped with a cable tank.

Wagenborg again proves their added value in Eemshaven to the offshore wind industry with this project.

The project profited from a one stop shop for cable logistics and storage providing a combination of the Wagenborg in-house customs and agency services, crane rentals, towage services and an own shipyard for a cost-efficient mobilization project.

The mobilization is taking place at the Wagenborg terminal in Eemshaven. This terminal has a storage area of ​​160,000m² and a quay length of over 1.500m. Its modern facilities and privileged location make it a popular base port for offshore wind projects. Wagenborg terminal Eemshaven has already supported various offshore windfarms in the North Sea with port logistic services.
