Van der Vlist Prepares for Oversized Cargo Transport by Rail
After a long period of engineering and eventual approval by concerned parties Van der Vlist is almost ready for rail.
The Van der Vlist XL-bolster was finally tested in real-life, able to carry cargo with the following maximum dimensions:
- 3m wide
- 3m high,
- 12m length
- 28t in weight.
Together with one of their valued clients they tested loading, lashing and securing of different types of machinery.
As a result of this test Van der Vlist are almost fully prepared to implement this environmentally friendly way of transporting oversized cargo.
They will start using this XL-bolster in regular transports early this year.
Van der Vlist is specialized in multimodal transport to numerous destinations. Now, besides road and water, Van der Vlist will also transport out of gauge loads over rail, with their own XL-bolster.
