UPM Biochemicals Transport and Heavy Lifting Project Safely Completed by Mammoet
When UPM Biochemicals asked Mammoet to carry out the transport and heavy lift of several HTC reactors for the new construction of their state-of-the-art biorefinery in Leuna, Germany, the study of Mammoet revealed two challenges:
- First, the transport of the reactors with a length of 23m had to overcome narrow curves.
- Second, the reactors with a diameter of 4.2 m could not pass under the low pipe bridges even on SPMT.
To overcome narrow curves would be no problem for their SPMT transport configuration and with an alternative route, their team was able to safely complete all work within the tight schedule.
