Universal Transport Move 300t Generators from Pilsen to Port of Lovosice – Video
Nothing is too much for Universal Transport – even at a snail’s pace !
The Universal Transport team in the Czech Republic has once again displayed what precision work looks like.
Transporting extremely heavy generators from Pilsen to the port in Lovosice, with narrow places to pass through their experts needed two whole nights for the distance of just 160km.
Almost 50m long, over 5m wide and around 5.70m high and weighing almost 300t it was only possible for the entire convoy to drive through towns and under bridges at a snail’s pace.
To enable a safe arrival of the load and equipment at the destination two MAN tractors were deployed, one leading and the other behind the load. In particularly narrow passages, a colleague assisted the driver on foot, guiding him by radio.
