Two TII Scheuerle Shipyard Transporters Delivered to Port by Kübler – Gallery

In a remarkable logistical challenge, the transport company Kübler, on behalf of the well known manufacturer TII Scheuerle, successfully transported two exceptionally heavy and wide shipyard transporters from the production site in Pfedelbach to the nearest port. The impressive dimensions of the loads – each 8m wide and weighing 150t – presented the team with extraordinary challenges that were mastered with flying colours

The easiest route via the motorway could not be used due to the state of some bridge structures, which is why the transport team decided on an alternative route through several villages. This decision required not only precise planning and coordination, but also remarkable driving skills through numerous bottlenecks and obstacles caused by a 8m wide load. However, thanks to the exceptional manoeuvrability of TII Scheuerle’s InterCombi axle lines, the transport could be navigated safely and efficiently through these narrow streets. To enable passage through roundabouts and sensitive road sections, numerous iron plates were laid, and extensive no-parking zones were set up to create the necessary space for the transport.

At Kübler’s heavy-duty transshipment centre (SGZ) in Mannheim the two shipyard transporters were transferred to an inland water way vessel to take them to the port for their final shipment to Korea. There they will be used at Hyundai, the largest shipyard in the world.

Special thanks go to Kubler’s client TII Scheuerle for the trust they have shown, and also to the photographers Marcel Bauer and Charles Glimm, who captured the spectacular moments of this extraordinary transport.

The success of this transport once again underlines TII Scheuerle’s leading role in the development and production of highly specialized transport solutions as well as Kübler’s excellent logistics expertise, which together have once again stretched the limits of heavy-duty logistics possibilities.
