Two Cometto BladeMAX Blade Lifters for Nippon Express Co. Ltd. in Japan

Heavy haul missions of any size are the daily work for Japanese specialist Nippon Express Co. Ltd.
Missions that vary from classic heavy transport jobs to those of a highly complex nature. To move the latest generation of wind blades through narrow city passages, mountainous regions or on their “last mile” before arriving at the installation place, Nippon takes delivery now of two new BladeMAX blade lifters by Cometto.
These are high-tech tools able to handle this extremely sensitive freight. The rotor blades can be picked up, raised up, swiveled and – one that is the case for one of the two delivered lifters to Nippon – be rotated around their own axis.
The BladeMAX can be mounted either between modular axles lines or on a self-propelled unit configuration. Besides an existing fleet of ModulMAX modules, Nippon Express Co. Ltd obtains for this purpose a 10-axle SPMT with a payload capacity of 40 tons per axle line.
Once again an impressive delivery to strengthen the position of our longtime customer as a leading key player in the world of heavy and special transport.
