Two 248t Desalter Vessels Transported from Gujarat to Rajasthan by Express Global Logistics

Express Global Logistics (EXG), member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, performed the transportation of two desalter vessels weighing 248 ton each, from Gujarat to Rajasthan. A desalter is a is a major component in a refinery which removes salt and other impurities from crude oil.
The dimensions of each vessel was:
- 33.65m long
- 4.6m wide
- 4.85 m high
The cargo, loaded at an industrial company in Gandhidham, Gujarat, had to be delivered to a petroleum refinery in Barmer, Rajasthan covering a distance of 630 km. A combination of EXG’s experienced operations team and engineers worked together in the execution of the project.

During the 630 km transport, the team faced a challenge before approaching the site. The turning radius on several sections of the road was insufficient for the cargo to navigate through safely. EXG arranged for civil work to be arranged and built temporary approach roads to overcome this problem.
The experienced engineering and operations teams of EXG ensured this valuable cargo reached its destination safely and on time.
