TWD assists AVAX Group with Transport and Installation of Plant Equipment at the Agios Dimitrios Power Plant

TWD assisted Avax Group with transport and installation engineering for the Raw Gas Duct and the Clean Gas Duct at the Agios Dimitrios Power Plant, in Western Macedonia, Greece.
Avax is developing a desulphurization unit in the Agios Dimitrios power plant on behalf of PPC. This unit will bypass the exhaust gas of the plant through an absorber and release clean exhaust gas into the atmosphere.
TWD engineers developed several ingenious solutions including the designs for transport cradles, lifting arrangements, and the detailed design of a skidding and jacking system made for the installation of duct sections inside the cooling tower. The precise designs of the transport arrangements for the heavy modules ensured a safe and efficient operation.
