Three AN-124 Charter Flights for 340t of Oil and Gas Equipment ex Paris to Kuwait

Three AN-124 charter flights were well-planned and organized within a very short time. On 25 May a Kuwait client decided to change the method of transport for 340t of Oil and Gas equipment from seafreight to airfreight This was due to the recent virus lockdown resulting in a long construction delay in Kuwait. Their decision was fast, and delivery was not easy considering that there were more than 7 heavy packages ranging from 25t upto 35t.

There were discussions with the loading master every day about the design of the fastenings.  Luckily, the French supplier was able to use their contracted engineers to make 7 special frames, slings, and shackles within an impressive 5 days.

In order to keep the correct trim of the AN124 during the flight the 7 heaviest loads were divided between three flights, . The first flight was well co-ordinated in Châlons Vatry Airport on 9 June,2020. The second flight was completed today on 12 June. The last flight is planned for next weekend on 14 June.
