The UK’s Biggest SPMT Fleet gets Even Bigger

Osprey has strengthened its position as a UK leader in heavy-lift transport, this week, by adding 88 new Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) axles to their fleet.

These state-of-the-art axles enable precision movement of complex and heavy loads, reducing the need for cranes and delivering innovative transport for projects including

• Hinkley Point C,
• HS2
• Defence.

The augmented fleet is:

• Designed for in-plant transport of equipment and installations like tunnel boring machine
• Able to call on Osprey’s Proven experience navigating complex tidal conditions with floating Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off operations)
• Ideal for Lo-Lo (Lift-on/Lift-off) operations, enhancing project cost efficiency
