

The Heavy Lift Group Assist Urgent Shipment of Wind farm Blades
The complete logistics chain for the urgent tranport of three 45m long wind turbine blades ex works in Portugal to their destination in France was organised recently by the French Freight forwarder Herport Montoir assisted by The Heavy Lift Group members L Branco in Portugal and Sogebras in France.
In Portugal L Branco acted as local forwarder and chartering broker, while Sogebras completed the ship agency and stevedore work in the port of Montoir near St Nazaire.
The blades, from Aveiro, Portugal, were shipped on board the vessel mv Hohe Bank, from the fleet of Briese Shipping BV, up to Montoir-de-Bretagne, France, for Zephyr Energies Renouvelables, the company incharge of maintenance and repair of wind turbines at the Parc de Renardière wind farm. The wind farm is situated between the villages of Saint Vincent des Landes and Issé, Loire-Atlantique .
