TBM Retrieval by Steel Carriers for Mumbai Metro

Steel Carriers Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. recently completed a major TBM job in Mumbai, India. Their Demag AC 1000-9 & Demag AC 250-1 were set to work on retrieving a TBM on completion of a tunnelling operation for Mumbai Metro.

The 1200t Demag AC 1000-9 crane was the ideal option for this project with limited space for placement, high working radius and a heavy weight tunnel boring machine to lift.

The job was carried out safely with the client showing great appreciation of the crane’s strength.

Last year Steel Carriers became the first & only company in India to own & operate a Demag AC 1000-9 1200t capacity class telescopic crane.
