

Spliethoff Add Ninth P-Type Vessel to Fleet
Spliethoff have announced the acquisition of an additional P14-type vessel on Thursday 15 October 2020. Their newly acquired vessel is a P2 – 1400 type vessel formerly named St. Pauli and has been reflagged tothe Dutch flag/register under the new name ‘Plantijngracht’
M.V. Plantijngracht is currently in Algeciras to undergo maintenance and will be taken into service soon.
With this acquisition the Spliethoff P-Type series consists of nine vessels:
- three P8-type vessels,
- abt. 20,100 dwt,
- equipped with two holds
- cranes with a combined capacity of 800 mt
- six P14-type series
- abt 19.450 dwt,
- two holds
- a combined crane capacity of 1,400 mt.
The Spliethoff Group has a total of over 70 multipurpose and heavy lift vessels which are available for the breakbulk, project and heavy transport markets.
The vessels are operated in close cooperation between worldwide dry cargo specialist Spliethoff and heavy transport operator BigLift Shipping.
