Seajacks Zaratan arrives in Taichung on Mighty Servant 3

Jack-up installation vessel, Seajacks Zaratan has arrived in the Taiwanese port of Taichung and is preparing to start work on a contract to install 20 Siemens Gamesa SWT-6.0-154 turbines. The Seajacks Zaratan was transported on the Boskalis heavy lift vessel Mighty Servant 3 from England to Taiwan. The voyage took 2 months, sailing from Rotterdam on 16 March.

As reported by HeavyLiftNews last year the Seajacks Zaratan will install the turbines for the Macquarie Capital, Ørsted and Swancor-owned project in around 30 m of water, up to 6 km off the coast of Miaoli County in northwest Taiwan. The turbines will be insatlled on monopile foundations which have been made in Germany
