Schmidbauer Completes Impressive Project in France with Mammoet Italy and DESPE S.p.A.

After months of challenges while dismantling the old motorway bridge on the A43 in France, Schmidbauer can proudly announce that the mission has been accomplished!

Thanks to innovative approaches and cooperation with Mammoet Italy and DESPE S.p.A. Schmidbauer have performed some difficult tasks with their Liebherr LR 11350 caterpillar crane.

This crane is characterized by its exceptional performance – even at a radius of 67m it can lift an impressive 249t, and at a radius of 93m it can still lift an astonishing 150t.

The already challenging project was made even more difficult with the access to the construction site, the complex crane construction, the rough terrain; but all were accomplished with flying colours.

80 heavy loads, narrow curves, and a stunning uphill crane site – a logistic masterpiece! The LR 11350 caterpillar crane lifted gigantic concrete bearers from high pillars and proved its load capacity.

The whole project took about three months, and now, after the extreme winter inbreak, the crane is now being dismantled.
