Scania Chassis with MPG Cranes from JK Kran – Gallery and Video

The European importer for the Turkish knuckle boom mounted crane manufacturer MPG Cranes, is JK Kran, based in Hjørring, 50km North of Aalborg in the Northern tip of Denmark.

The Danish company has rebuilt and modified several Scania vehicles and fitted them with MPG cranes up to 450m / t lifting force.

Their modifications have resulted in a 7 axel chassis, 14 x 4* 10, for work in Denmark complete with ballast and jib.

For other European countries where lower axle loads apply, their modified have resulted in a Scania chassis with an 8-axle 16×4 * 12 configuration. This conversion included a fully air-sprung chassis that with 2 additional leading and trailing axles.

Recently they have modified a vehicle installed with two hydraulic steering systems from the Dutch company VSE. The finished R730 is 12.90 m long and has a dead weight of 18.5t.
