Sarens wins awards for “Project of the Year”and “Job of the Year”

Sarens receives two major awards at the Heavies Awards, an exclusive event that rewards contributions in the UK’s heavy lifting industry, from operators to manufactures and suppliers, and highlighting outstanding innovation, service, efficiency and quality in the sector.
Sarens won the following two awards at this year’s event:
Project of the Year, awarded for work on the Beatrice Wind Project. Sarens was the heavy lift contractor for the two main fabricators of the wind farm jacket substructures for the Beatrice Wind Farm in the North Sea. The group had to worl with two different build pholosophies to meet the clients’ needs, and utilised various heavy equipment, including in-house designed, ring-based heavg lift crane with a lifting capacity of up to 3200 tonnes. Saren had competition of five other companies for this award.
Highly Commended – Job of the Year BE16/VR1, awarded for work moving a colossal 350-tonne heater and box stack through the streets of Pembroke during its journey to Sweden. The 21-metre high load, which towered above propety in the town, was navigated through to the port on SUnday morning. Saren competed against three other companies for this award.
Saren Operations Manager Andrew Hunt and Sarens Project Manager Alister Smith received the awards. “This is a reflection of the great team work on behalf of Saren UK Ltd.,” they said. “Hard work and commitment have paid off!
