Sarens is commissioned by GE Renewables Energy to provide combined WTG installation service (cranes with installation) at its 300MW Wind Farm Project in Gadhsisa, Gujarat, India.

GE Renewables, one of the world’s leading wind turbine suppliers, has brought in Sarens to provide cranes and undertake the complete installation/offloading services for the erection of the highest GE Make 2.5 MW 132 – 130HH Onshore Wind Turbines Generators at the Gadhsisa Wind Farm project. Sarens scope includes engineering of WTG components installation, loading/offloading and receiving of WTG components, inspection and QA work, turbine internal cabling work and testing, site management, craning of wind turbine components, installation and commissioning of service lift, pre-assembly activities, transport coordination of turbine components, team transfer, planning, and execution, high and medium voltage work, and supply of tools.

Regional Wind Manager, APAC & Africa, Samrat Bhatnagar says “Lack of consistent standards, policies, and practices have a major impact during the construction phase of a wind farm in India, resulting in greater risks and increased costs. Sarens has the global resources, expertise, and might to lift-up and shape the future of the wind industry and crane designs built to support powerful, next-generation turbines.” Sarens can add significant value to wind projects right from the planning stage by taking all project scope under one umbrella resulting in increased efficiency and optimized cost.

Suitable resources along with 600MT crane packages and electrical and mechanical teams will be mobilized for project execution. Country Manager, India, Abhishek Jain says “This project is important for Sarens in India in respect to the scopes. As of now, no establishment in India provides heavy lift cranes & other auxiliary resources along with complete wind installation solution. With this project Sarens has become the first heavy lift and crane rental company in India to provide a turnkey installation solution for the wind market resulting in high productivity and improved cost.

Deputy Regional Director – APAC & Africa, Navneet Jain adds, “This is an important milestone for Sarens in India and this relationship with GE in India will help us to enlarge our services in wind sector across APAC & Africa Market.”
