Sarens’ Steel Support Lifts in Belarus

Sarens recently installed two steel supports for drilling shaft machines in Luban, Belarus. The steel supports consisted of ten modules ranging from 40 to 178 tonnes each. They were built to be as heavy as possible in order to reduce overall production time and installation time.

The operation, undertaken on behalf of client JSC Promtechmontazh, was executed over a period of two months between July 25, 2018 and September 25, 2018. To complete it successfully, the Sarens team used the TC2800-1 truck crane and Grove GMK all terrain crane which arrived via 25 different trailers from Grodno, Belarus.

The Sarens crew worked on the installation 24 hours a day, carefully managing the challenges and particularities of this project. For example, the crane couldn’t use superlift due to the confined job site. The crew had to change the TC 2800-1 crane configuration three times for each steel support to successfully complete installation.

By paying careful attention to the specific requirements of this project, Sarens was able to execute the installation to the client’s approval.

“The Sarens team successfully completed the installation according to our wishes. We hope for further productive cooperation,” says Vladimir Matrenkin, director of the JSC Promtechmontazh Soligorsk department.

Sarens would like to thank everyone involved on this successful project!
