Sarens Providing Lifts for the 2025 Para-Asian Youth Games in Tashkent

Next year Uzbekistan will be hosting the Para-Asian Youth Games in Tashkent in a new purpose built paralympic stadium.  Tashkent is anticipating an enthusiastic welcome for about 1000 paralympic athletes and their fans in the lead-up to the games, as well as the increased tourism, business, and economic activity associated with the event.

China CAMC Engineering landed the contract to build the main competition and service facilities for the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Uzbekistan.

For the preparations and in partnership with client CAMCE Sarens have been providing:

  • Two 60t cranes
  • One 30t crane
  • One 38m boom lift.

Sarens’ involvement began in August of 2023. Their crew has been lifting 6m to 10m bundles of metal fittings for the stadium’s metal construction. The weather conditions in Tashkent in winter can be harsh and cold, and -15℃ temperatures made it difficult to start the crane engines. However, once the fuel was changed out for the winter fuel and systems cleaned work could once again proceed smoothly.

The full list of sports include in the programme are Para Athletics, Para-Armwrestling, Para Cycling, Goalball, Para Judo, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Para Canoe, Para Taekwondo and Para Academic Rowing.
