Sarens Polska Receives Transport and Lifting Awards from Ponadnormatywni.pl
Sarens’ division in Poland, Sarens Polska, has been honoured with 2 awards at the Konkurs Giganci Transportu 2024 awards ceremony in Jachranka, Poland:
- Oversize Transport with Load Weight Over 120t
- Crane Service with Load Weight Over 250t
The lifting award was in recognition of their work with the lift and preparation of a 450t tunnel boring machine cutter head with a diameter of 14m.
The transport award was in recognition of the exceptional transport of the decommissioned Polish submarine, ORP Sokół. This massive undertaking involved moving the 380t submarine, which measures 45m in length, 8m in width, and 5m in height, from the port of Gdynia to the Polish Navy Museum. The challenging task was executed using 32 axle SPMTs).
The awards ceremony, organised by Ogólnopolskie Stowarzyszenie Pracodawców Transportu Nienormatywnego (OSPTN), also known as Ponadnormatywni.pl, was a significant event for the industry. The gala was graced by the presence of notable figures, including Ms. Iffet Turken, President of the Transport Section in ESTA Europe, underscoring the event’s importance on an international scale.
