Sarens Moves Ozeos Filters

27 June, 2018

Engineering firm Sarens has transported a cargo of Ozeos Filters and Pot Tending Machines to the ALBA Potline 6 Reduction Plant in Bahrain.

The breakbulk equipment was delivered on behalf of industrial engineering group Fives and carried on 24 axles lines of Kamag K24 trailers. Each pre-assembled Ozeos filter weighed around 49 tonnes while the PTM’s  each weighed 150 tonnes.

“It was a challenge to transport a light load with a relatively large wind sail area that affected the stability of the transport … Accurate steering and focus was required all the time. Transportation took place at night whereas the installation had to happen on days,” a project manager at Sarens commented.

Headquartered in Belgium, The Sarens Group provides heavy lifting and engineering expertise and equipment worldwide via a network of more than 100 subsidiaries in 54 countries.
