Ravestein’s Skylift 3 400t Floating Crane Sets Off for First Project

Skylift 3, the 400t lift floating crane designed and built by Ravestein set off, under tow, on Wednesday 1 February, bound for the crane’s  first project which will be in the Port of Liverpool at Gladstone Lock.

The Skylift 3 is carrying new lock gates on board built by Ravestein to be installed in this first project .

The work is part of a planned programme of ongoing improvements to Port of Liverpool infrastructure.

The installation of the gates is due to commence in April.

Skylift 3 being prepared for the project at Ravestein’s yard where it was built in Deest, The Netherlands.
