Project Logistics Alliance Member – AC Project & Forwarding SL – Transports Locomotives by Road and Sea

A member of the Project Logistics Alliance (PLA) representing Spain, AC Project & Forwarding SL, recently transported three locomotives from Spain to Saudi Arabia. Each locomotive weighed 117t and measured 17m long, 3.1m wide, and 4.43m high. To comply with height and weight restrictions along the route, the cargo was disassembled at the client’s facility.

During the loading process, two cranes weighing 150 tons and 120 tons were utilized to facilitate the transfer. Subsequently, the cargo was carefully placed onto three low-lying trailers to ensure safe transit and prevent any damage. AC Project & Forwarding took charge of reassembling the locomotives at the loading port in preparation for their sea voyage to the final destination.

Despite the intricacy of the project, the company successfully met strict deadlines and delivered the cargo in impeccable condition. Their expertise was clearly demonstrated at every stage of the operation. PLA extends their congratulations to AC Project & Forwarding for yet another accomplished shipment.
