KNM Helge Ingstad is now ready to be Lifted ... BUT...
The following photographs of the continuing Helge Ingstad salvage operation in Norwegian waters have been released by the Royal Norwegian Navy.
The Rambiz, Gulliver and Helge Ingstad have arrived in Hanøytangen as a single unit, accompanied by a small flotilla of vessels from the Royal Norwegian Navy, BOA – the salvors, and oil spill prevention vessels. They arrived at 09.00 today, Thursday, 28 February and are now located at the same place where the Rambiz and Gulliver have been sheltering since November last year.
All these photographs were taken by Bendik Skogli, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, on board the vessels being towed to Hanøytangen.
The time-lapse video of leaving the salvage location bound for Hanøytangen was shot from aboard the barges Gulliver and Rambiz. Photography by Varde Solutions.
