Pacific Osprey’s New Boom Installation Starts in Esbjerg – Gallery
The new 115m long boom was lifted into position on Swire Blue Ocean’s Pacific Osprey, yesterday, using two crawler cranes on the quay side in the port of Esbjerg.
The operation was successful and now the Swire Blue Ocean Team will be able to start leading the hoist cables to complete the installation.
The boom weighing 422t was manufactured in China By NOV and was shipped to Esbjerg by the SAL vessel Wiebke. The Wiebke sailed on 22 January and arrived in Esbjerg over the weekend of 22/23 February.
