Orion Moves on After Sea Trials
Following information from vessel tracking websites the DP3 offshore installation vessel Orion has completed, what appears to have been, speed trials and various manoeuvring tests yesterday afternoon after leaving the Rostock anchorage area.
Such trials and tests are normal for new built vessels prior to the vessel being accepted from the shipbuilder by the intended owner. Orion remains being tracked as Orion1, inferring that the vessel has not yet been handed over from COSCO in China to DEME.
Further information from the vessel tracking sites indicates that Orion1 at 13.30 CEST is entering the Kattegat, about to pass under the bridge connecting Malmo to Copenhagen, bound for Bremerhaven. Orion is expected to arrive there late on Saturday afternoon.
