Offshore Wind Crane Vessel Sheng Ping 001 with Heavy List – Reports from China

Reports from Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, describe an incident relating to the offshore jack up construction platform “Sheng Ping 001” in the Huizhou waters is now stabilized after taking on water and developing a heavy list late in the morning of Sunday 25 July.

At present, the jack up construction platform has been stabilized, and nearly 30 ships and rescue helicopters are on the scene for search and rescue.

The “Shengping 001” is reported to have been carrying out installation work on wind farm near Hong Kong.
