National Grid Welcomes New Delivery by Allelys at the Bramford 400kV Substation

Last week, MV Eemslift Hendrika successfully delivered the 178t transformer to the Port of Ipswich.

Allelys, the heavy lift, transport, handling and logistics specialists, transported the new transformer from the Port of Ipswich to the UK National Grids 400kV Substation at Bramfrord near Ipswich.
The new transformer is part of the are reinforcment project for the electricity transmission network between Bramford substation in Suffolk and Twinstead Tee in Essex involving the construction of a new overhead line and underground cable link.
