MPI Discovery / Taillevent Returning to Europe as ZITON’s Wind Discovery

The offshore wind installation vessel now known, again, as the (MPI) Discovery has had various owners and has been operating in various offshore energy sectors.

Built in China for MPI Offshore in 2011 the vessel has worked on installing wind farms in the North Sea and English Channel.

In July 2018, after the break-up of the MPI Offshore the vessel was transferred to Jan De Nul and renamed  Taillevent.

While working in Asia Jan De Nul announced in August 2021 that the Taillevent had been sold to an un-named operator to work in the Asian sector, where it has worked until recently.

It has now been reported that, after more owners and more names, the, now, Danish registered and re-named Wind Discovery is returning to Europe to work with ZITON.

ZITON is the leading O&M service provider for major component replacements in the European offshore wind market.
