MJ van Riel BV Transport 400t Pontoon on their Scheuerle Kamag K25 H Modular Platform Trailers

Last Wednesday Dutch heavy transport and lifting specialist MJ van Riel BV transported a pontoon weighing 400t to a slipway at the Neptune Shipyard to be launched on the river in Aalst, Gelderland. The transport was carried out using their Scheuerle Kamag K25 H modular platform trailers.

The control of two modular platform trailers was linked together during transport, so that both of them performed the same movements simultaneously .

During the operation it is very important to keep the pontoon in balance. Their team of professionals do this by measuring pressure on each axle on the remote control.

The new pontoon had been built by MPS bv, at the Neptune shipyard in Aalst. MPS is member of the Neptune Marine group, based in The Netherlands.
