MAXIKraft Group’s Kranlogistik Sachsen Assist SachsenEnergie Restore Heating Supply Across the Elbe in Dresden – Video
The collapse of Dresden’s Carola Bridge in September has massively affected the district heating supply in the Dresdner Neustadt area. One of two main lines between the two banks of the Elbe has been cut since the crash. So, it’s high time for energy suppliers SachsenEnergie to lay a temporary line before winter.
For this purpose, the team from Kranlogistik Sachsen, part of the MAXIKraft Group, was on duty at the Theaterplatz.
The task of the pipeline specialists LudwigPfeiffer was to build a thermal bridge over the road in front of the Semperoper Opera Theater. The provisional line is then to be routed via the Augustus Bridge to the other side of the Elbe.
For the lift, the MAXIKraft colleagues from Kranlogistik Sachsen were in action with a Liebherr LTM1090 -4.2 with a 30m boom. With a radius of 18m and a height of more than 30m, they hooked the pre-assembled pipe sections, which weighed almost 8t, with a crossbeam and placed them on the prepared supports. After two hours everything was done the pipe bridge had been installed!
By the end of November, the district heating will be flowing over the Elbe to supply the households on the Neustadt side – until a new, permanent solution is built.
