MAXIKraft Group Erect an Observation Tower for Bird Watchers

The Kelbra reservoir in the north Thüringens is considered an internationally important breeding and resting area for thousands and thousands of cranes, gulls, ospreys and other bird species.

In order to be able to observe the birds in the Naturpark Kyffhäuser, the reservoir operators in Sachsen-Anhalt have now built a wooden observation tower – almost 15m high, with the help of their colleagues from Maximum in Nordhausen!

They were on site for three days to help erect the 5.20m x 6.20m wooden structure with a Liebherr mobile crane on behalf of Scharf Holzbauwelt from Erzgebirge Wolkenstein.

For the grand finale, they then lifted the pre-assembled, tiled roof with an H-strut.

Under the gaze of a few onlookers, the 7t construction was skillfully placed on the wooden tower by their three-axle mobile crane.

In the future, bird lovers will be able to look into the landscape below the roof on two levels and observe the countless animals in the bird sanctuary. A worthwhile destination!

A scaffolding tower, which had served as a temporary lookout point for almost two years, can now be dismantled.
