Martin Brunner Transport Selects 3-axle MegaMAX from Faymonville for Moving Rail Rolling Stock
For transporting rail rolling stock by road vehicle solutions with that certain extra are in demand.
The Swiss company Martin Brunner Transport AG is prepared for this specialist transport. “There’s no such thing as impossible!”
An important application is the transport of trams, locomotives and rolling stock, where special low-loader properties are important.
A 3-axle MegaMAX has now been designed by FAYMONVILLE Trailers to the MAX precisely for these projects.
The 7,800mm long low bed as a boiler bridge variant can be telescoped by 4,500mm. The low-bed girders and the front transverse connection are designed in a rail design with a track width of 1,440mm.
Brunner can provide maximum flexibility in load length with an extensive kit of extension beams that are 4,000mm, 5,000mm and 6,000mm long.
Tried-and-tested swing axles with a 60° steering angle and 600mm ensure the necessary manoeuvrability. A hydraulic winch with a lifting capacity of approximately 8,000kg provides the necessary assistance for loading the rail vehicles.
The first applications for Brunner with the MegaMAX are already planned for transporting articulated electric buses from Switzerland to the port of Antwerp.
