Last month Mammoet’s team in Texas was tasked with moving a 3,900t dragline. First the machine was jacked up roughly 1.5m (5 ft.) to be loaded on SPMTs for transport.
The almost 24 km (~15 mile) journey included crossing a state highway, traversing a small creek, and going underneath four major high-voltage lines in order to get to the next mining area.
Despite weather-related challenges including rain, fog, and some muddy terrain, the machine was carefully moved to its new destination.
(Hard-) Hats off to all involved on making the move a success!
