Maersk Supply Service to Install Energy Advisory System on Vessels
Maersk Supply Service (MSS) has signed for Eniram, part of the Wärtsilä group of companies, to install their Energy Advisory System on MSS vessels. Initial installations will be on 2 vessels, one M class Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) Vessel and one I class Subsea Support Vessel (SSV). Following tests on these vessels further installations will be commissioned on four more vessels and it is the intention to have their complete fleet fitted with the system in the long term.
This will be one of the tools the company is using to meet their eventual goal of a 5% fuel reduction by 2020.
The two vessel are expected to start the tests in the summer this year, 2019.
