MJ van Riel recently completed fitting their fully electrically operated, emission-free and low-noise, Liebherr MK73-3.1 mobile tower crane with a work basket for a project. This 38.5m tower crane has been operational for several months now and, when equipped with a work basket, is ideal for work at height or in locations that are difficult to reach with maximum safety.
The Liebherr MK73-3.1 ‘Hybrid Power Concept’ is one of seven electric mobile tower cranes in MJ van Riel’s crane fleet. Because this crane can lift electrically, it is emission-free and almost silent. This is ideal when lifting operations have to take place at night or in inner-city (zero emission) areas. In addition, this tower crane is manoeuvrable and compact, which makes it suitable for various lifting activities, such as in construction or for maintenance or installation work.
MJ van Riel currently has seven electric mobile tower cranes and several electric Pick and Carry cranes. In addition, other electric cranes are expected, including the MK88-4.1, a 45 meter mobile tower crane, and the SK1265-AT6 eLift, a 60m mobile tower crane.
