M.J. van Riel B.V. at Kijfhoek Marshalling Yard for Strukton Rail Nederland
Strukton Rail Nederland B.V. is one of the rail contractors responsible for maintenance, renewal and new construction of rail infrastructure and electric train systems in the Netherlands.
Currently they are working on the rail marshalling yard at Kijfhoek near Zwijndrecht South Holland about 15km south of Rotterdam where 21 rail braking systems, previously used when shunting rail wagons, are being removed.
The Tilburg based crane and transport company M.J. van Riel B.V. is on the site with their 500t and 90t cranes along with six transport combinations for lifting and removing 42 concrete foundations weighing 32.5t and 15t, and a further 60 loads of metal and technical parts from the braking system.
A 130t crane is also being deployed for unloading all concrete structures on the site of a recycling company. Because lifting points were missing the drilling experts from De Wilde Spoorbouw were asked to drill four holes of 150mm in each structure for inserting heavy lifting pins. These enabled a safe lift in combination with steel ropes and a lifting beam.
