Linde’s Module Transport from India to Singapore Monitored by TWD
In 2019 Linde approached a contractor in India for the fabrication of 46 modules intended for a new gasification plant on Jurong Island, Singapore, 1,586 NM away.
The safe transport of the 46 modules by sea to Jurong Island, could be fraught with hazards if not properly and efficiently controlled, and so Linde asked TWD to review, survey and approve the complete transport by sea operation from load out to load in.
With experience in all aspects of heavy transport engineering for many different heavy lift cargo operations the TWD engineers know exactly what and where the risks are that need to be addressed.
TWD engineers are today controlling all calculations and method statements, monitoring SPMT transportation and seafastening design, providing on-site assistance and only giving the green light for each shipment to Singapore when they are satisfied it is safe to do so, meeting all international quality and safety standards.
Five shipments have been completed, five remain. TWD is happy to support Linde with their expertise, confident in the success of the project.
