Liebherr LR11350 from Schaften Cranes BV Lifts Mammoth Loads in Lithuania

Specialist in the bare rental of cranes from 30t up to 1600t, Rotterdam based, Schaften Cranes BV has recently had their Liebherr LR11350 working in the Orlen Lietuva oil refinery near Mažeikiai in Lithuania.

Contracted by their client Mammoet, the 1350t crawler crane was lifting components in the construction of a new Residue Conversion Unit (RHCU).

Mammoet was taking care of the transportation of nearly 1500t freight from Klaipėda to Mažeikiai District. After a year of preparation the reactor reached the port of Klaipėda and was unloaded onto 88 axles modulair trailers. This historical journey started between 5 August and 6 August and took about two weeks.
