LASO’s 300t Transformer Transport Project to Greece On Schedule
In 24 hours, 15.00 on 24 January, the BBC Citrine is due to arrive at the small Greek port of Thisvi close to the final destination of the 300t transformer.
As reported on www.heavyliftnews.com the transformer had been transported from Pêgo CTE in Central Portugal to the Port of Setubal by LASO. On arrival at the port after 4 days on the road, the transformer was transhipped to the BBC Citrine which sailed on Friday evening bound for the small port of Thisvi in the Gulf of Corinth.
LASO thank, once again, all the employees involved and the GNR police officers who made this operation possible and successful.
Hugo Silva, LASO commercial manager at LASO heavy projects, reports, “It is a privilege for me, and it will certainly be an unforgettable experience, to be able to participate in this project regarding the sending of a transformer weighing 300,000 kg from the Pego thermoelectric power plant to the Thisvi combined cycle power plant in Greece. I believe that once again the capacity and quality of LASO Transportes S.A. to stand out in the execution of projects of this complexity was present, never rejecting a challenge launched by its customers or business partners, no matter how complex they may be. From a personal point of view, having had the opportunity to follow all the stages, from the commercial management of the project to the design and operational execution, is a unique possibility for learning and professional enrichment.”
Together, we overcome obstacles!
