LakerMax Number 5 Passes Sea Trials
“LakerMax” Number 5!
BBC Chartering have announced that the BBC SANTIAGO has successfully passed her sea trials this week. She is an exact copy of her sister vessels:
- BBC LEER,
- BBC HOUSTON,
- BBC GENOA,
- BBC DUBAI, (recently delivered)
All of the earlier vessels are already in service with BBC Chartering.
BBC SANTIAGO will be the special “Christmas vessel”, expected to enter service just before the holidays.
The vessel will be equipped with the same type of Liebherr LS-250 shipboard cranes, capable of a combined lift up to 500t, and offers almost 26,000m³ and 5,000m² of space under deck. Her unobstructed weather deck has another 2,800m² on offer for the overdimensional cargo units, in case they do not fit in the 104.3m long and 18.2m wide hatch.
And just in case if even more space is needed, just like the other “LakerMax” vessels, BBC SANTIAGO is certified to sail with open hatches.
