KENC Engineering Completes Secondary Steel Project for GustoMSC’s Wind Orca Crane

In May 2022, KENC Engineering was awarded an engineering by GustoMSC. KENC has now successfully completed the assignment which entailed detailed engineering support for the new heavy lift crane of Cadeler’s jack-up vessel Wind Orca.
KENC supported GustoMSC with design and engineering work for the secondary steel, including stairs, platforms, access to maintenance locations on the new crane’s boom and A-frame.
This strategic upgrade will enable Cadeler to strengthen its position in the growing offshore wind market, increasing the lifting capacity of the crane to 1600t, compared with a previous capacity of 1200t.
