Jumbo teams up with Huisman
March 16 – Jumbo has appointed Huisman Equipment to design and construct two offshore mast cranes for its new DP2 heavy lift crane vessel (HLCV) for delivery in 2020.
The main crane of the HLCV will have a 2,500-tonne lift capacity and will feature a triple hoist to allow for complex handling operations.
The crane will also come equipped with an active heave compensation (AHC) auxiliary block with a depth rating of 3,000 m and a 600-tonne capacity.
The second subsea crane will have a 400-tonne lifting capacity with an AHC main hoist to control the position of a load relative to the seabed, and a depth rating of 3,000 m.
